Learn to make Japanese anemone form peonies from crepe paper with Tiffanie Turner. Each student will select from a variety of paper colors to make a beautiful peony and its leaves in class, and be given materials to take home as well. Tiffanie will also review a special paper treatment and technique for creating a purple and yellow "Bowl of Beauty" peony. *

Light refreshments and beverages will be provided, and we will take a short break for lunch around 12:30. Bring a bag lunch or you can purchase something to eat nearby.

* Please bring your favorite scissors.

Tiffanie Turner is an artist who explores nature and botany in large and small scales in paper. She is a wife, mother of two young children, and a licensed California architect. Her work in paper stems from her background as an architect, particularly her interest in construction and repetitive motifs, along with her lifelong passion for flowers and botanical drawings. Her work can be seen around the Bay Area when she is exhibiting, online at www.papelsf.com and @tiffanieturner. Last spring at the de Young Museum Tiffanie was the artist in residence for the month of May 2016. Her first book on paper flowers, titled "The Fine Art of Paper Flowers," is available now by Ten Speed Press.
